At the regular meeting of Morrison City Council on Monday, September 26th, it was approved to name Brian Melton as City Administrator effective October 1st.
Brian Melton has a distinguished career in local law enforcement, having most recently served as Chief of Police of Morrison from February 1st, 2009.
He took on the additional duties of Acting City Administrator from August 1st, 2022 and was able to effectively “wear both hats” for the past two months. We are excited to welcome Brian into his new permanent role.
Also effective October 1st, Sgt. Kevin Soenksen is named Acting Chief of Police while we immediately begin the search for a permanent replacement Chief.
