On Saturday, October 1st, at 2:42pm, Whiteside County Deputies responded to a one vehicle traffic crash involving a motorcycle in the area of 24163 Moline Road , in rural Sterling.
Upon investigation and speaking with witnesses, a single motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Moline Road, when the motorcycle drifted off the road, and into the ditch. The driver 45 year old Jeremy Hall was thrown from the motorcycle. At the scene all life-saving measures were administered. Hall was transported to CGH Medical center were he passed away from his injuries.
Deputies were assisted by Sterling Fire Department, CGH Ambulance, Illinois State Police and Whiteside County Coroner Joe McDonald.
The crash remains under investigation with an autopsy pending.
