Colton J. Zigler, 26, of Sterling, was stopped for speeding on Saturday, May 28th, at 11:32 p.m., on 2nd Avenue at 12th Street in Sterling and was charged with aggravated battery to a police officer, resisting arrest, driving while license revoked, no insurance, illegal transportation of alcohol, and speeding.
Zigler was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
The public is reminded that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
