Illinois State Police District 1, Illinois Secretary of State Police, Illinois Commerce Commission Police, and Illinois Department of Transportation combined their efforts to work a truck enforcement detail on Wednesday, October 26th, in Whiteside County.
During the detail 8 citations and 26 written warnings were issued. Citations issued included 1 for Overweight on Registration, 2 for Overweight on Axle, 1 for Operating CMV without valid CDL. Additionally, there was 1 forced vehicle registration by Secretary of State Police.
Troopers conducted 10 Motor Carrier Safety Inspections placing 3 vehicles and 1 driver out of service for safety violations. Troopers weighed 86
trucks during the detail.
This detail was a cooperative effort to provide increased enforcement of overweight truck violations, registration violations, and other violations related to motor carrier safety.
