National Night Out is Tuesday August 2nd
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnership and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a sense of community.
To commemorate the event this year, the City of Sterling is asking its residents to turn on their porchlights from 6pm-10pm.
The glow of a porchlight in conjunction with National Night Out symbolizes a message shared by both community and law–enforcement.
That message: “Crime is not welcome here!”
Please join us in this simple act of solidarity on August 2nd.
